Joel Celebrates his 10th Anniversary
A familiar site in Gympie is Joel Fraser in his hi-vis and Greg Mill from Jobmatch Employment.
You’ll often see them in the morning, in and around Mary Street keeping our town tidy.
Joel was employed in the parks and gardens team by Gympie Regional Council in 2013, as part of an initiative employing people with disability. Greg Hegarty and Joshua Dennien were also successful candidates in the program.
On Thursday August 3, Joel received his 10 year achievement award from council CEO Robert Jennings. Liz Alchin, an Employment Coordinator with Jobmatch, shared how proud she was,
“This is a terrific achievement for Joel who has a really dry sense of humour and loves being able to work.”
“Just to see Greg and Joel work together is humbling as they have developed a fantastic friendship and Jobmatch has been able to support Joel in this capacity for 10 years.”
